I recently took my Audi TT to Koppinger’s for an oil change and general evaluation. I’ve been relying on Matt Koppinger for maintenance of my vehicles for a long time. The appointment was easy to obtain on short notice. Once there I spoke to Noah who handles front of office matters and Matt about what may be new noise I had heard before. They agreed to follow up and let me know. Later that day Noah called and said the oil change was completed and a test drive did not produce concrete evidence of an unusual noise. Noah then arranged for me to meet with the tech who worked on my vehicle and took it for a test ride. The thinking was that I may be able to describe what I heard to the tech. I subsequently took the tech for a ride later that day when I picked up my car. We had a good conversation and agreed there wasn’t anything obvious to be concerned about at this time. I relate the entire episode to illustrate that Matt and his employees go above and beyond the routine in taking care of your vehicle. In addition to the test drive with the tech, I also received a list maintenance and items that could need attention in the near future along with an estimated cost for replacement primarily because the vehicle is over 20 years old. I’m very pleased with the service I receive at Koppinger’s and don’t hesitate to recommend them.

I brought my car into Koppinger’s to troubleshoot some issues and they were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional. They clearly care about their business and do not let a single detail get glossed over. So lucky to have such an awesome mechanic shop in Black Mountain!!

These guys are AMAZING! They are prompt, kind, and thorough. Customer service in action! A rare find. Having a Sprinter Van, they went above and beyond in providing service – all considering they currently do not service Sprinter Vans. The best news I could receive, besides their willingness to take a look at an issue, is to learn that later in 2026 they will be outfitted to work on our Adventure Van! You have to give them a try and find out what genuine customer service feels like. You will be impressed and glad you did!

This is my 4th Visit to the shop & every time I leave satisfied. They have great communication, easy appointment set ups & car drop offs. The Health report they send to your number & email (with photos included) are really nice, the last shop I went to did not offer a report at all. I’ve known about Koppinger for awhile & I wish I started coming here sooner! The Christmas gift bag & tee shirt was really cool as well!

While traveling through the mountains of North Carolina, an exhaust valve broke in our Volkswagen Toureg. We stayed overnight in a hotel, but early the next morning we discovered Koppinger’s about 1 mile away. We limped the car to their shop and as they opened we were kindly greeted by Noah. Although the team had plenty of work to do, they immediately ordered all the necessary parts. They arrived around noon, and the team changed the plugs, bad coils, etc. Although this helped us get the car home, I’m sad to report that a cracked exhaust valve is not a quick fix. It will be more beneficial to replace the engine! Nevertheless, it’s been a good car and we have got our money’s worth over the years. I digress. My family and I was truly pleased by the team’s willingness to help, their courtesy toward us, and them charging a mere fraction of the quote (about 1/4) simply because they knew we out so much money due to the loss of the car. I highly, highly recommend Koppinger’s to anyone in the area looking for a reliable and trusted place for your European car.

In addition, I was very impressed with the thorough explanations I received, overall staff expertise and the cleanliness of the premises. I’ve been slow in following up from over a year ago…I had a brake master cylinder issue in my 76 BMW 2002 before the Vintage last year, and I think Matt saw me the next day after I called…Voila! proper brakes in the time it would have taken to for the dealership to figure that the car was indeed a BMW. Very knowledgeable, personable with excellent communication skills in explaining the issues and process. Diagnosis was performed without charge and then the customer is called and informed prior to making a decision on repairing the vehicle. Excellent work and fair prices. 5 stars/ exceptional.

They have been very thorough with my elderly diesel VW. Even with some bizarre and unique problems pricing has always been more than fair. And when unexpected issues have arisen they’re quick to work me and and with my schedule. A small enough shop that you can have a real discussion with the managers and/or the tech working on your vehicle. Highly recommend!

I had the distinct pleasure of visiting Koppinger Euro Service recently, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exemplary. The workshop was remarkably clean and far more spacious than anticipated, a true testament to the establishment’s quality. Mr. Koppi, the owner, displayed such profound knowledge and skill—it seemed as though he was born to this craft. My S550 had suffered some wiring damage due to an unfortunate encounter with a mouse, well many many mice I should say living luxuriously in my boot, engine, floor and even a squirrel was found hiding chestnuts in my air filters, causing an air ride issue. The repair was carried out swiftly and at a most reasonable cost. Simply superb! Bloody rodents!

Based on reviews, I took my 2002 Jaguar XK8 to Koppinger for service. I had purchased in April and knew routine maintenance was deferred. Matt was extremely knowledgeable and very detailed in explaining what would need to bring the car up to schedule. He helped me decide what to prioritize and what could be done later. He was not high pressure and prices were more than fair considering it’s a Jaguar. I highly recommend Koppinger Euro Service.
